Miss New Jersey United States 2010
Katerina Dimitratos, is a MBA student at Seton Hall University. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in International Relations and Diplomacy with minors in Economics, Russian and Eastern European Studies from Seton Hall's John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations. Katerina is also a graduate of The Fund for American Studies and Georgetown University's International Institute for Political and Economic Studies in Crete, Greece.
Katerina has been employed in the financial industry for the past four years. She is the Associate Editor for the United States division of the International Journal of Young Leadership. In 2006, Katerina founded the Seton Hall Hellenic Society and was elected as its President for two consecutive years. Katerina is a member of Amnesty International, a defender of human rights in the global arena. She is a member of Hellenext: The Next Generation Initiative, an organization whose mission is to prepare tomorrow's leaders, today. In addition, Katerina is a member of the Foreign Policy Association, America's oldest global affairs organization whose goal is to inspire the American public to learn more about the world.
As a State Delegate, Katerina Dimitratos is an advocate for education and literacy for not only those in the United States, but all people in the world. She believes, regardless of where an individual lives, who they are or what situation they find themselves in, all are entitled to an equal education as literacy is an important tool which changes circumstances and breaks down barriers. For this reason, equal education for all will be her platform in the Miss United States 2010 Pageant.
In 2007, Katerina was awarded "Most Valuable Diplomat" by Seton Hall University while studying abroad in the University's program in Cyprus. Katerina has also held the Miss Ionian Islands 2008 title and was selected as the First Runner Up in the Miss Greek Independence 2008 Pageant.
Katerina will be traveling to the Miss United States Pageant in Las Vegas in July 2010.
